Job Description
Cambridge Terahertz is hiring a Radar Systems / Junior Engineer, a full-time role in the California San Jose, Bay Area with substantial in-person work at Cambridge Terahertz facilities in Sunnyvale, CA. As one of the company’s early hires, the candidate will work closely with the founding and leadership team to develop the company’s core product, a THz radar imaging sensor. Early work will include hands-on lab work in bringing up, characterizing, and optimizing phased array radar systems. A hardware generalist, the candidate will be responsible for schematic reviews and lab setups with a focus on radar systems while also touching electrical engineering, signal processing and light mechanical design work.

Job Requirements

3+ years of Lab experience with RF testing
-
Scripting (Matlab, Python or equivalent)
-
Experience with Radar, LiDAR or similar sensing or imaging systems

Hands-on test experience with equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.

Soldering and cable assemblies
-
Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Leadership skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
